SAN FRANCISCO, California -- Kismet World Wide Consulting LLC announced today their first release of WasteNot, an app for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that helps people green the world and know their impact. With WasteNot, people can find and share good ideas that can reduce their waste and their impact on the environment, then watch to see how big a difference their actions and ideas have actually made worldwide.
"We believe that a simple idea, such as turning off the lights every time you leave a room, can create significant environmental savings if enough people around the world commit to integrating it into their daily lives," said Craig Michael Lie Njie, Founder and CEO of Kismet World Wide Consulting LLC. "Although the individual savings of these ideas might be small, the aggregate savings of thousands, or even millions of people using these ideas can be profoundly significant. WasteNot lets people find these kinds of good ideas, which we call 'Seeds', and then keep track of how much their actions and ideas have saved the world, both visually with a unique worldwide, zoomable heatmap, and numerically with sum totals of the environmental savings. By providing them with an entertaining and informative tool that leverages a crowdsourced model of environmental information sharing, people really can save the world with WasteNot."
